In the U.S.A we call it Power Soccer, other countries refer to it as Powerchair Football, but whatever you want to call it, Power Soccer Rocks!!

Started in France 30+ years ago, like Soccer the game started gaining interest in the US in the early 80's. In 2006 a group of 6 countries all came together at the Suwanee Sports Academy in Suwanee, GA and unified the rules. It was then that the International Federation of Powerchair Football Association (FIPFA) was created as the world governing body, and the U.S. Power Soccer Association (USPSA) as the governing body in the U.S.A. Currently the game is being played in 15 countries, and there are 60 teams here, with the Screamin' Eagles being the oldest team in North Georgia. Power Soccer has also been officially recognized as an International Federation by the International Paralympic Committee.

The USPSA is a voting member of the U.S. Soccer Federation, and through it's member teams conducts competitions across the US in the Eastern and Western Regions in 4 Conferences (Premier, Champions, Presidents, and Founders).
